Until recently, John was the Principal of Balanced Growth Consulting where he led the Strategy and Health Care Practice of the firm. Earlier in his career, John served as the Executive Director of the American Academy of Periodontology, Chief Operating Officer of the American Academy of Pediatrics, and Chief Executive Officer of a large community blood center – a unit of the American Red Cross. Prior to these leadership roles, he worked in the for-profit sector with Northfield Laboratories (a biotech startup, Baxter International, and Procter and Gamble.
John attended Loyola University of Chicago where he earned his MBA with emphasis on international business and marketing. His undergraduate degree is from Miami University (Oxford, Ohio) where he attained his BA with a double major in Political Science and Economics. He attended the John F. Kennedy School of Government’s Leadership Development Program at Harvard University.
